NeuCrew Rob Meet the Neu Crew! Each month you'll get to know one of our valued NeuAnalytics employees. This month, we're chatting with Rob Belt, a Director, Client Operations who loves to hit the links.

Name: Rob Belt

How long have you worked at NeuAnalytics?
I’ve been at Neu for 13 years – the company was just 3 years old when I joined. I started the same day as Amy Klassen, and she beat me in the office by 5 minutes, making her the official 5th employee and me the official 6th.

What is your current position/title and what does that mean?
My current position Director, Client Operations. I manage a team of data specialists and business analysts, who in turn work closely with our clients and their vendors to support the full client/vendor relationship. We are very hands-on, working with vendors to acclimate them to our system and working closely with our clients to help them manage their vendors. I currently have a team of four, but we are in the process of hiring two more teammates.

Before that, I served as Director, Client Success, acting as a point person from sales to support many of our existing clients. I regularly met with them to ensure their continued success and satisfaction with our products.

I first started at NeuAnalytics as a business analyst, working closely with clients to help with any data needs, training, or reporting. Then I moved into a role as Director, Client Operations – similar to what I do now, but at that time my team handled all of the Neu clients, rather than a subset. We were a smaller company then with fewer clients, but as we've grown we've expanded to two additional operations teams.

What is the best part about working for NeuAnalytics?
The people! The relationships we’ve built over the years, the common belief that if you do things extremely well and have fun doing in – it’s the highest life form. We work hard but we also play hard.

What do you like to do while you’re not at work?
Well, first and foremost, I like to spend time with my two grandsons. Otherwise, for the past 3-4 years it’s been golf. My wife and I both love to play, and she thoroughly enjoys beating me on the course! We now travel to golf destinations and play as much as we can while we’re there – for example, we just spent five days playing 4 courses in Ohio.

What is your favorite type(s) of food?
Some people live to eat, some eat to live. I am definitely the latter. I enjoy all types of food and love cooking at home too. I usually only go out for things like Italian because I don’t feel I cook that well.

What is your favorite type of music?
Country/pop the most – but I grew up with old rock and roll, so I enjoy that too.

If you could have any job other than your current job, what would you do?
Something in the Healthcare field. Where you know that you are really truly helping people.

So I’ve heard you have quite the sporting record that has stood the test of time – tell me more!
I was on a swim team relay that currently holds the pool record for the 100-yard freestyle relay for the 10 and under group. We swam it in 59 seconds flat! My relay team actually had the pool record for 12 and under too, but the team later broke that record at another pool, so that one is under dispute. After all it’s a pool record, not a team record! But I’m pretty proud that one of my records still stands after so many years!

Is there any charity you feel passionate about that you’d like us to link to?Rescue Me Dog Rescue
I love dogs, and our dogs Bo and Daisy would love for people to support Dog Rescue. Each state has many of their own rescue sites.
